Community Outreach

Sweet Tee’s is proud to have a relationship with several organizations in Olathe and Kansas City that provide life skills and job training for developmentally disabled adults. These relationships include hiring students to work at our various locations as well as buying product from these organizations that we offer for sale.

Currently we have staff and volunteers from Inclusion Connections/Pawsabilities, Olathe School District Access program and The Whole Person organization. Our staff and volunteers from these organizations learn job skills to allow them to become independent and have an enhanced self-worth.

We purchase products for our libraries from the Sonflower Bakery at Church of the Resurrection which is staffed by individuals with disabilities.

At our main shop location, we sell products from Pawsabilities including dog treats, toys and bandanas.

Community is our 1st focus - enhancing our Customer experience...

Our Community experience with a warm welcome and a locally roasted coffee blend.

Freshly roasted specialty coffee from various countries, DogWatch Coffee began with a passion for fine coffees. We search for the best and offer small batch-organic and direct trade when available. Roasted to bring out the unique characteristics of each beans origin origin. Also available to purchase beans by the pound.

DogWatch Coffee founder, Aaron Faimon, can recall his first coffee tasting. It wasn’t the taste of the coffee, which of course was loaded with sugar and cream, that made this memory so impactful, It was how the dose of caffeine felt equivalent to another two hours of sleep!

As a young Police Officer working shift work, coffee was an essential part of his day. He became a connoisseur of different roasts finding his favorites. Good coffee was not easy to find when he was working DogWatch, otherwise known as the night shift.

Aaron became interested in local coffee shops wherever he traveled. He enjoyed the variety of roasts and learned he had a special skill where he could taste and smell the intricate notes associated with each batch of coffee. He began to appreciate the single origin roasts and gained an understanding and appreciation of the distinct taste and qualities of coffee. For Aaron, the total coffee experience went way beyond the caffeine, and now encompassed the tasting notes, the roast level, and the delivery system.

In 2018 Aaron had the opportunity to purchase a coffee roaster and he began experimenting with roasting coffee at home. He began sharing his coffee with co-workers and friends and getting valuable feedback to continue the search for that perfect blend of coffee bean and roast level for an  ah--ha, first taste moment.

In February of 2019, DogWatch Coffee began, selling small batch roasted coffee. In April of 2019, DogWatch Coffee began providing the medium roast to Sweet Tee's Coffee Shop, and by August, provided all coffee for Sweet Tee's.

DogWatch also proudly provides coffee to War Horses for Veterans in Overland Park and to many faithful customers that buy direct, locally and nationwide.

As a 25 year police veteran in Olathe, KS, Aaron has served the community for decades. His passion for coffee started because he needed a jolt but naturally transpired into his passion, DogWatch Coffee. He hopes you enjoy the experience of a great cup of coffee.

Life's short, drink the good stuff first!
